1. Data We Collect

When you use the Gu World bot, we collect and store the following data:

• Discord User ID — used to identify your account and save your game progress
• Discord Guild (Server) ID — used to track server-specific configurations and leaderboards
• Game progress data — including cultivation rank, essence, Gu inventory, materials, equipment, stats, and history
• Command usage data — used for analytics and improving the bot experience

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Persist your game state between sessions
• Process commands and interactions with the bot
• Generate server-wide leaderboards and statistics
• Improve bot performance and fix bugs
• Prevent abuse, fraud, and policy violations

3. Data Storage & Retention

Your data is stored in a MongoDB database and cached in Redis for performance. Data is retained for as long as you use the bot. If you leave all servers where the bot is present and do not interact with the bot for 90 days, your data may be deleted. You can request immediate deletion at any time.

4. Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data at any time by joining our support server and contacting an admin. You can also use the /self_destruction command to reset your cultivation progress, though some Discord identity data may persist for anti-abuse purposes.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. Game-related data (such as your name on leaderboards) is visible to other users of the bot in the servers where you play.

6. Security

We implement reasonable security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), environment-based secrets management, and database access controls. However, no online service is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
