Gu Guide
The complete guide to Gu worms — the heart of cultivation
What are Gu?

Materials
Each recipe requires specific materials and quantities. Materials are gathered through hunting, exploring, and trading.
Essence Cost
Refining costs primeval essence (mortals) or immortal essence (immortals). Higher rank Gu cost more essence to refine.
Success Rate
Each recipe has a base success rate. Higher rank Gu have lower success rates. Failure consumes materials.
Environment
Some Gu require special environments to refine. Immortal Gu (Rank 6+) require an immortal-grade environment.
Co-Refinement
Two cultivators can combine their resources and luck to refine Gu together via /co_refine.
Deduction
Immortals can deduce recipe fragments via /deduce, unlocking new recipes over time.
Feeding
Every Gu requires periodic feeding based on its feed type and feed interval. Feeding is done via the /feed command, which consumes materials from your inventory. If a Gu is not fed, its health drops and it becomes unusable. Immortal Gu have longer feed intervals (120+ hours) while mortal Gu need feeding every 12 hours. The Preservation House Immortal Gu can seal Gu to bypass feeding entirely.

Immortal Gu Exclusivity
Immortal Gu (Rank 6+) are unique — each one can only exist once in the entire bot world. This is enforced through a claim/release system: when you refine or obtain an immortal Gu, a claim is registered globally. If someone else tries to obtain the same immortal Gu, the system prevents duplication. Upon death or transfer, the claim is released. This mirrors the novel's concept where each immortal Gu is a unique existence in the world.
Equipment System
Equipping Gu
Use /equip to equip a Gu for combat. Only equipped Gu can be used in battle or have their abilities activated.
Gu Limit
Cultivators have a maximum number of Gu they can hold, which scales with rank. Manage your collection wisely.
Gu Cap
There is a global cap on the total number of Gu a single cultivator can possess. Excess Gu must be stored or traded.
Preservation
The Preservation House Immortal Gu can seal Gu into a deep sleep, bypassing feeding requirements entirely.
